Even after you’ve shed major pounds, keeping the weight off can be a huge struggle. One reason? Your body constantly feels hungry, according to a new study from the American Physiological Society.
For the study, researchers had 40 obese volunteers — which was defined as having a body mass index greater than 40 — attend five three-week long weight loss sessions over the span of two years. During the sessions, the participants were coached through daily exercise and eating healthy.

What Is Dark Chocolate? 

There are several types of chocolate, as you probably already know. Most people divide chocolate into three categories: white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. The FDA actually does not have a standard of identity for dark chocolate, but the general consensus is that dark chocolate typically contains between 70 percent to 99 percent pure cacoa or cocoa solids. Launched in 2005 by President George W. Bush and expanded by President Barack Obama, the US President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) has been one of the main sources of funding for malaria prevention interventions in sub-Saharan Africa. A new report in PLoS Medicine shows that the PMI has reduced child mortality and the burden of malaria in those countries that have received its funding, primarily by increasing access to insecticide-treated nets, artemisinin-based combination therapy, and indoor residual spraying.
